Pilgrims Coffee House

Over the years our cafe has undergone a series of changes, as the business has grown and adapted. Covid-19 forced us to relocate our whole premises into our garden shipping container, to enable us to continue serving safely over the counter.
As we navigated through another busy Summer, uncertainty of whether or not we felt safe enough to move back inside was always a thought lingering in the back of our minds. However, we've been slowly but surely renovating our indoor space, with the intention of moving our cafe counter back inside the the 2023 season!
Until the grand reveal occurs, please order at the counter as usual. We have a small number of heat lamps available for the chilly months, so wrap up warm! As always takeaway is available!

If you'd like to try your hand at creating some Pilgrims classics at home you can get our very own cookery book here!

We first opened our doors in 2006 to serve our community and the daily visitors on the Holy Island of Lindisfarne. Our focus from day one has been to provide quality coffee, home made and seasonal food options sourced from local ingredients - all while ensuring we reduce our impact on the environment!

Reducing our waste and providing low environmental impact coffee is at the heart of everything we do. We ensure our disposables are compostable, including our coffee cups, cutlery and food trays.

Our cafe and roastery was powered by renewable electricity from Ecotricity, but due to dramatic 2022 energy costs we have been forced to temporarily change to EDF. As soon as it becomes viable to switch back, we will!
We support Organic, Fairtrade and Rainforest Alliance Certified practices.
Looking forward to seeing you soon!
