Kitchen Assistant
Here at Pilgrims Coffee House and Roastery on the iconic Holy Island of Lindisfarne we are on the search for an enthusiastic member of the team to support the kitchen and back of house. Primarily the responsibility will be in the washroom area alongside the opportunity to prepare menu items once fully trained. If you are passionate about great food and keen to learn, this could be the job for you.
About you - Qualities we are looking for are first and foremost a positive, can do attitude and team player. This is a fast paced, dynamic environment due to the nature of the tidal island being a tourist/ pilgrimage destination, so you need to be able to adapt, multitask and work efficiently.
About Pilgrims - We pride ourselves on serving excellent coffee roasted on site alongside freshly baked pastries, cakes and bread etc. Quality is important from the first impression down to the last goodbye in all areas of the cafe. To execute this standard in such a busy tourist location requires a working culture of respect, trust, teamwork and grit. Pilgrims is a family owned and run operation with core values of care for people, environmental impact, sustainability as well as supporting the local community and businesses. Our coffee is sourced intentionally with these core values and roasted to order for minimum waste and maximum flavour. We source ingredients from carefully selected suppliers/ producers and prepare 99% of our menu offering in house.
