The search for a great cup of coffee is often like the quest for the Holy Grail... well search no further.

The Holy Grail is our premium blend, comprised of speciality grade organically farmed coffees. Created to satisfy even the most caffeine hungry pilgrim.

These coffees complement each other perfectly, with a lovely sweetness and a clean, satisfying, juicy acidity - maintaining a balance to the final cup.

Our Holy Grail blend works well as a slightly longer espresso, but is currently being enjoyed here at our coffee shop as a batch brewed filter - the perfect partner to a hard days graft. We change the coffees in this blend to align with green bean availability, freshness and just to keep things exciting!

About the Farm:

Mustefa Abakeno, a dedicated smallholder farmer in the Jimma Zone of Western Ethiopia who has been producing excellent coffees out of this region for many years. He manages an extensive 18-hectare farm located at an impressive elevation of 2,040 meters above sea level.  Mustefa's commitment to excellence extends to infrastructure development. To facilitate this endeavor, he established the "Beshasha" wet mill, a versatile facility processing both his coffee and that of local outgrowers. He has also constructed a modern warehouse in Agaro, impeccably equipped for milling Natural processed coffees.

This coffee is brought to us by our great partners at falcon coffees. In 2021 falcon took on a talented agronomist by the name of Harun. Harun's primary focus during the most recent harvest season has been the training and support of Mustefa and local farmers who supply cherries to the washing station. His efforts have led to numerous improvements at the washing station, including the installation of shade netting to protect drying beds during the hottest hours of the day. Cherry selection at the delivery point, tagging day lots for separation, and vigilant monitoring of moisture levels during drying ensure uniform drying before lot assembly.

About the Farm:

The Municipality of Inza in Cauca is an area of land that sits high on a Colombian plateau called the Macizo Colombiano. This area is perfect for growing specialty coffee as altitudes reach over 2000masl. Asorcafe was founded on July 11, 2003 in the town of Pedregal in Inza and currently has 290 members. The association was set up to help these producers become organised to sell their coffees as specialty, but also to provide a structure to further their education and to improve economic and social conditions for themselves, their families and their community.

This coffee brings a prominent juicy vibrance to the blend with notes of tropical fruit and a high sweetness and acidity.
